Lose Your Belly Fat and Show Your Abs

by Jack Spencer

Of all of the different parts of the body that we try to keep in shape, the belly is probably one of the most often sought after. It wasn’t all that many years ago whenever a strong set of arms really defined sexiness but that is shifted in recent years. Because many people are now showing their stomach in public, a nice set of ab muscles that shows through is the best way for you to show that you’re in shape.

The unfortunate thing is that many of us are unable to show our abdominals out of embarrassment. Even if we work out on a regular basis and do endless amounts of abdominal exercises, we still may not have the six pack that we are really looking for. The reason why this is the case is because no abdominal muscles are going to remove the layer of fat which is hiding the ab muscles underneath.

If you really want to get the set of sixpack abs, you’re going to probably need to forget everything that you already know about obtaining them. The reason why this is the case is because we are constantly fed misinformation by the diet industry as well as those late-night infomercials which are peddling some new contraption every time you turn around. It doesn’t matter how hard you work your abdominal muscles, they will not look good unless you get rid of that layer of fat which is covering them over.

The first thing that you need to do is to look at the fat on your belly as you would look at it on all the other areas of your body as well. You are not going to be able to shred fat off of your stomach without losing fat from other key areas of your body. That is a simple fact of nature and it is one that you’re going to have to accept if you want to be successful in getting great abdominals.

Another thing that you need to accept is the fact that the larger muscles of the body are what is going to help you to burn the fat. These muscles exist in the legs and they also exist in the core of the body. If you’re working out your legs regularly, you’re going to naturally burn more calories on as well. This will help you to cut the fat and it is the easiest way for you to do so.

There is a simple formula that you need to keep in mind in this regard. Every pound of muscle that you have on your body is going to burn 60 calories every single day without any extra effort on your part. 10 pounds of muscle in your body will burn 600 calories every day, or a little bit over 1 pound of body fat every week.

If you are skipping these larger muscles whenever you’re at the gym, you are doing yourself a disservice. Make sure that you’re not only working them, but that you concentrate most of your efforts onto bulking them up. As a result, you will begin to shred fat off of your body very quickly and notice the differences in the way your abdominals look quickly as well.
